Greet! Yield!
02:56
|
|||
Oh every time I feel so low
I have been waiting
I have anticipated
Oh everything I said was wrong
I have been chasing
I have impersonated
Oh how do I feel? I seem undone
I have been wading
Greet! Yield! You’re uninvaded
Now where do I go to feel at home and
cease retreating?
Walk lands when all is ending
Oh every time I feel so

Sisters
03:16
|

We met through pickled plums terrorized by a black cat named Abbott.
Everything was pink, we shared our love for American football. Born in the same city, we talked about Japan. We also lost tragically while playing Mario Kart.
We've been feeling this for too long
This time settles in this song
And now, we've been trying to hold on
So we met at the rehearsal space and started jamming to quiet. We talked about love and language and traced our itineraries. That’s when we knew we were sisters and the pact was sealed by the devil. We started walking Lands and we came upon a crossroads. He was waiting for us there.
We've been feeling this for too long
This Time settles in this song
And now, we've been trying to hold on

Heavy Eyelids

I write lines in my head
Never realizing them as the water floats beneath me
My eyelids are heavy
The sun warms my cheeks, my hands, my hair
It’s blinding and comforting
I stop for a moment and think
How brilliant is this?
I’m alive
I navigate these days full of love & loss & honesty
And I’m reminded
Of an embrace that didn’t last long enough
but wait
I’m unsure
Who am I
To weave these words
And let them go
I write lines in my head, they are blinding and comforting
How brilliant is this, the sun warms my cheeks
An embrace full of love, but wait, I’m unsure
My eyelids are heavy but, I’m alive
I'm fucking alive
Who am I?

Revel in Discomfort
03:18
|
|||
You see it from a distance.
I revel in this comfort.
We talk of disbelief but where is the surprise?
So you talk of resistance, and here comes discomfort.
Is this feigned solidarity, or direct action?
When you see movement, will you follow suit? When I see motion, will I go along?
When I see movement, will I follow suit? When you see motion, will you go along?
So, the system is not broken.
it serves those it was meant to serve.
Force is directed.
Help seems performative.
We’re not willing to let go.
We’re not willing to move forward if it threatens our privilege.
When your fear is their demise, look at yourself,
look at your space, look at your position.
What is there to say?
Individualism must give way to community in a world where globalization means disparity.
So, humble yourself.
Listen to those you say you respect.
Acknowledge their fears and start questioning yours.
What is the future that you want?
Do you think that I'm messing with you?
Sometimes i feel less alone
